James confirmed for DPR Motorsport

Saturday 1st February 2014

After a strong showing at the final round of the Caterham Tracksport 2013 championship at Silverstone, back in October, James will be perusing his maiden racing car championship in the 2014 Caterham Supersport championship.

After initiating talks with a number of teams, James will be racing with DPR Motorsport as he aims to challenge for the championship title. DPR Motorsport are considered one of the top teams in the Caterham series. In 2013, they took all three championship titles and James hopes that a partnership with the Surrey based team will increase his chances of winning the 2014 championship and retain the title for the team.

DPR have proven that they are the best team in the paddock and I look forward to being able to work with them to help bring home the 2014 Supersport championship

With it being James’ first year racing cars, there is no doubt that he will have a big learning curve. The support from DPR Motorsport and driver coaches Ben Clucas and Kieren Clark, of 3KS Management, can ensure that James gets into winning ways as quick as possible.

I am really looking forward to this season racing. It‘s been a while since I‘ve raced nationally, but the Caterham Supersport championship is a geat starting ground for me and my success at Silverstone has provided the opportunity for me to be in the best team on the grid. This provides me with the best opportunity to take race wins and the championship title. I cannot wait!

The season starts off on 10th May at Snetterton 300 circuit in Norfolk. James has plans to start pre-season testing in February at the team‘s local track, Brands Hatch. Keep up to date with James’ championship quest here or via @j_d_robinson on Twitter.
